During my studies at Florida State University, I have gained a comprehensive foundation in information technology, including database concepts, object-oriented programming, and web application development. I have also developed skills in information systems, IT leadership, technical communications, information architecture, networking and telecommunications, health informatics, and business statistics, providing me with a well-rounded understanding of both the technical and organizational aspects of IT.

Associates of Arts (A.A.)

Tallahassee State College | December 2023

Earned my associate’s degree while balancing part-time work, developing strong time management and professional skills. This experience strengthened my ability to manage multiple responsibilities and reinforced my commitment to continuous learning in technology and IT practices.

Skills

Team Collaboration and Mentorship

Throughout my experiences as an Assistant Soccer Coach and during the FSUshadow program at NextEra Energy, I have developed strong collaboration and mentorship abilities. I successfully guided younger players, coordinated practice schedules, and worked closely with peers on IT projects, ensuring tasks were completed efficiently. These experiences honed my ability to work effectively in teams, provide guidance, and contribute to shared goals in both academic and professional settings.

Time-Management and Work Ethic

Balancing my associate degree and bachelor’s degree while working part-time and managing multiple projects throughout TSC and FSU has strengthened my time management and work ethic. Completing tasks on tight deadlines while maintaining high standards taught me to prioritize responsibilities and stay organized. This skill ensures I can handle complex workloads and consistently meet professional and academic expectations.

Problem Solving and Critical Thinking

Through IT coursework, database projects, and the New Nole Marketing Project, I cultivated problem-solving and critical thinking skills. I approached challenges analytically, designed solutions for real-world problems, and adapted quickly to unexpected obstacles. These experiences demonstrate my ability to assess situations, make informed decisions, and implement effective solutions across work, school, and project environments.

Projects

New Nole Marketing Project

Assisted in designing and implementing a digital marketing strategy for the College of Communication and Information (CCI), collaborated with a high-performing team to engage new students, and grew the NewNole Instagram account by creating posts and flyers, achieving a targeted 20% increase in followers, while applying skills in design, marketing strategy, social media, and digital marketing.

Website Redesign

Collaborated with a team to redesign the website for Lofty Pursuits, a local candy and ice cream shop in Tallahassee, using design tools such as Figma and Balsamiq. Our goal was to streamline the layout, reduce clutter, and improve usability for visitors. We implemented a modern design and optimized user tasks, enhancing user trust and encouraging repeat visits. This project strengthened my skills in team collaboration, user experience design, and digital prototyping.
